For a while now, an idea has been wandering in my mind. Namely, that the way jewelry is created is so beautiful, right from when you design them, dreaming your feelings and memories into them, all the way to how I feel while making them. I'd like to introduce you more deeply to this atmosphere. It's a kind of presence in the moment, experiencing the moment, the birth of an unrepeatable piece of jewelry, in which my full focus is present. Then, there, I truly exist "here and now." And not just so it can be beautiful, good, and precise. But also because the end result holds a certain story of someone's life. They are in it, and so am I. And something beautiful is born from these two, and that's a wonderful feeling.
I believe that in everyday life, too, we can beautifully operate by calling upon beauty to help us be present.
What if there were days that started like this: wow, that's truly beautiful. When you marvel at something like that, something catches your eye and touches your soul, then the day can start with joy, love, and presence. Then you can say: yes, I can choose whether to let my day be ruined by what is currently difficult, a conflict, a responsibility, etc., or I can stop for a moment because here is this miraculous play of light, with this message on the suncatcher that greets me. And I can choose that this is good now, this is the present, and it recharges me. I can even see how much more beauty like this there is in my life, in my day, around me.
There will be times when the sun doesn't shine exactly where your suncatcher is. But you have the option to find a spot in your home where the sun does shine. You can place your suncatcher there, and behold, a rainbow appears. Could this be an analogy for how, once I've experienced what it's like to marvel at something beautiful, good, kind, and uplifting in the present, I can then actively seek these things around me? Consciously paying attention to them, whether they are small or significant. I think so.
