This book had a great impact on me, I found it extremely interesting, so I'm taking the opportunity to recommend it to you. I use the protagonist, Victoria's flower dictionary as a basis, because the author compared several dictionaries written in the 1800s and compiled this dictionary based on them, with the help of university professors.
